Mel Wehrkamp
I am the owner and teacher at Little Wings. I opened this program with the hope to connect with and encourage as many children as possible. I love kids and want to see them succeed!
I graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in 2011. After finding my passion to work with kids I started right away on educating myself and now have received my CDA credential. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified also.
I have a daughter and a son. We love to get outdoors and keep our bodies and minds healthy! I also adore animals. I have two dogs and a cat! I try to stay active while working out, biking, hiking, and with sports of any kind.
I hope to live out my passion and change the lives of every child I work with. I want to encourage them to try new things, make friendships, fail and get back up again. I can't wait to meet your child and begin a new adventure this school year!

Hey there! Ms Jena here, I’m so excited to join this wonderful team/family and get to know all the amazing kiddos! Along with watching them grow & impact their lives and minds! I grew up in Humboldt, SD. I have been working with children for 7 years and I absolutely love teaching!

Hello! My name is Ashley. I am so excited to meet you! Eight years ago, I started working in childcare and quickly learned how passionate I am about it. I enjoy building relationships with students and families and getting to watch them grow and reach milestones. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls and have a dog named Bear. I come from a blended family where I am the oldest of 8! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family/friends, being outdoors, going on walks with Bear or taking him to the dog park, country music, concerts, and watching a good suspenseful movie!

Hi, I'm Sunny! I've worked in childcare for nearly 15 years, and helping children learn, grow, and thrive is my greatest passion. Preschool through school age is where my heart is, and I love creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for every child.
I'm also a proud mom to my son, Saint, who has autism. He has taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of celebrating every child's unique strengths. My goal is to build meaningful connections with children and create a place where they feel loved, supported, and excited to learn every day!
