Mel Wehrkamp
I am the owner and teacher at Little Wings. I opened this program with the hope to connect with and encourage as many children as possible. I love kids and want to see them succeed!
I graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in 2011. After finding my passion to work with kids I started right away on educating myself and now have received my CDA credential. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified also.
​ I have two daughters and a son. My husband and I have been married since 2015. We love to get outdoors and keep our bodies and minds healthy! I also adore animals and love to stay active working out and with sports of any kind.
I hope to live out my passion and change the lives of every child I work with. I want to encourage them to try new things, make friendships, fail and get back up again. I can't wait to meet your child and begin a new adventure this school year!

Hey there! Ms Jena here, I’m so excited to join this wonderful team/family and get to know all the amazing kiddos! Along with watching them grow & impact their lives and minds! I grew up in Humboldt, SD. I have been working with children for 7 years and I absolutely love teaching!
If you asked people to describe me, these are some words they say…outgoing, creative, kindhearted, silly, bright, positive, etc! One important thing to know about me is that I'm allergic to peaches and mangos!

Hello! My name is Ashley. I am so excited to meet you! Six years ago, I started working in childcare and quickly learned how passionate I am about it. I enjoy building relationships with students and families and getting to watch them grow and reach milestones. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls and have a dog named Bear. I come from a blended family where I am the oldest of 8! In my free time I enjoy spending time with family/friends, being outdoors, going on walks with Bear or taking him to the dog park, country music, concerts, and watching a good suspenseful movie!
Ms Jacquelyn
My name is Jacquelyn! I'm 31 years old. Child care has been a part of my life since I was a child, growing up with a mom that had an in home daycare. I live in Garretson with my significant other, James. We have a large pet family- 2 dogs, Tika and Aspen, a cat Kitty or Sapphire depending if she is in trouble, 6 outdoor chickens and a house chicken, Honky! Honky likes to visit us at preschool and have fun with all the kiddos! We also have 6 hermit crabs.
When I'm not working I love any and everything outdoors. I also love seeing and spending time with my former students, who love to come help with chicken chores!
